Last week, the first international Libralex conference of this year took place in Puebla, Mexico, which was also the first Libralex conference on Latin American territory. The conference was organized by our Mexican member law firm DeForest Abogados.

The conference days, accompanied by a comprehensive side program, offered a multitude of presentations, panel discussions and lectures. Major current legal topics in an international context, presented by representatives and members of our international law firm network as well as selected further speakers and guests from more than 20 countries, characterized the conference.

We focused on highly topical issues from an international and multicontinental perspective. We examined EU Regulation in the Digital Decade, new developments in AI Regulation and Liability, EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). We analyzed the Impact and Interactions of Technology on Corporate Law and Commercial Law, debated New and Intergenerational Working, learned about new Legal Tech Tools in day-to-day legal work and Global Mobility within the Libralex special “Conference on Immigration USA & Spain”. Another highlight was the speech of our honorable guest speaker Fernando Pelaez-Pier, who addressed the importance of the enriching interaction between different cultures and the opportunities offered by international and intercultural partnerships. Further time was reserved for network-related strategic topics and reports from the various Libralex working groups.

Most sincere thanks to our member law firm DeForest Abogados for a more than perfectly organized, multi-layered conference with precious content and lasting impressions and congratulations once again on your 25th anniversary, which we had the pleasure to celebrate together during the conference. Very many thanks to all speakers and participants for the exceptionally interesting and impressively compiled content and presentations, for the great and enriching discussions and for providing excellent starting points for many further exchanges as well! We would also like to thank all those who followed this Libralex conference via LinkedIn.

We are very much looking forward to the next international Libralex conference and to seeing you all again in June in Berlin, Germany.
