Following our meetings in Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Lisbon in 2023, the next international Libralex conference will take place from 21 to 24 February 2024 in Puebla, Mexico, hosted by our Mexican member law firm DeForest Abogados. For the first time since it’s founding in 1992, a Libralex meeting will be held in Latin America. At the same time, this will mark a new beginning of Libralex expansion into Latam.
A wide range of highly up-to-date specialist topics will be on the agenda on Thursday, presented and discussed by representatives and members of our network, as well as top-class guest speakers from law and business. There will be presentations and panel discussions on EU Regulation in the Digital Decade, on Current Developments in AI Regulation and Liability, on the EU & Latam Perspective on the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), on the Impact of Technology on Corporate Law and Commercial Law, on Different Generations working together and on the Inhouse Counsel Perspective on new Legal Tech Tools. The honorable guest speaker will be the former IBA President Fernando Peláez Pier.
The Libralex strategy meetings are taking place on Friday and will include reports from the various Libralex working groups on current and upcoming projects. Other initiatives and topics of relevance to the network and our advisory services will also be discussed.
The days directly before and after the two official conference days will provide even more opportunities for exchange and networking. There will be more time for meetings and discussions on both Wednesday and Saturday.
We are very much looking forward to the Libralex conference in Mexico and to the unique, multinational professional and personal exchange with our friends and colleagues from all around the world.
